Lorenz Hilty is Emeritus Professor at the Department of Informatics of UZH. Until summer 2024, he held  the following roles:

  • Head of the Informatics and Sustainability Research Group (Forschungsgruppe Informatik und Nachhaltigkeit) since 2010  ISR Group 
  • Sustainabilty Delegate of UZH since 2014  Sustainability at UZH
  • Director of the Zurich Knowledge Center for Sustainable Development since 2022 ZKSD

Personal Contribution to Climate Protection

  • No air travel since March 2017, which saves 2-3 tons of CO2 per intercontinental flight. For details on travel emissions see UZH's factsheet on Business Travel
