Successful interactive systems are those that not only enable effective completion of user tasks but are also easy and fun to use. Following topics are discussed and deepened through practical assignments/project work: design principles and user-centered development and evaluation methods, interaction design, models and architectures of interactive systems, design of hedonic information systems, information and knowledge visualization, virtual and augmented reality, collaboration systems, multimedia and multimodal user interfaces, applications of mobile and ubiquitous computing.
