Title: CoRe: A Recommender System for UZH Lectures
Abstract: The motivation was to create a web-based recommender system for UZH students to support them in their study planning according to their interest. Dependent on the student's module history, the recommender suggests modules, which are based on ratings of students who have a similar module history. We implemented a user-based algorithm with the collaborative filtering approach. To keep the system attractive to the students, CoRe provides additional services like a time table, export functionality and an overall study plan which allows them to manage their studies.
