The ICT4S community awarded the first Honorary Fellow Award to Professor Lorenz Hilty at its annual conference in Rennes, France.

ICT4S stands for Information and Communications Technology for Sustainability. Lorenz Hilty held the first international ICT4S conference at the University of Zurich and the ETH Zurich ten years ago and is considered the founder of the community as well as a pioneer of research in the field of digitalisation and sustainability.
