ADORA Installation Requirements

The current version of the ADORA Tool is in a stable state. However, please note that there is no warranty of a correct functioning of the software.

The ADORA Tool runs under any platform which hosts Java 5 and for which a the Eclipse Platform Version 3.4 or greater is available. Here are some of the recommended configurations that run properly.

• Windows ME/98/XP/NT/2000: Java 5 with Eclipse 3.4.1 and GEF 3.4.1
• Linux with Java 5 and Eclipse 3.4.1 and GEF 3.4.1
• Mac OS X: Java 5 and Eclipse 3.4.1 and GEF 3.4.1

Other configurations, especially for other operating systems, are not tested and therefore there is no guarantee that they will work.

For an installation of the ADORA Tool, a manual installation of the Graphical Eclipse Framework 3.4.1 can be omitted. Instead, the corresponding GEF version can be installed from our ADORA Tool update site. This means that you have to install just Java 5 and Eclipse 3.4 or greater. The rest is done by the update mechanism. Please refer to the download and install instructions.
