Salima Jaoua

I joined the Social Computing Group as a Ph.D student in September 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Anikó Hannák.

In 2024, I completed my studies at EPFL where I received a BA degree in Mathematics, and MSc degree in Applied mathematics with a minor in Data Science. During my studies, I mostly focused on optimisation, statistics and data science. For my master’s thesis, I worked on a Bayesian framework of a dynamic factor model using FPCA at the university of Cambridge.  I also completed an internship at NEC Laboratories Europe, in the department of biomedical AI.
