At RE’22, the 30th IEEE International Requirements Engineering Conference, Jane Cleland-Huang, Martin Glinz and Bashar Nuseibeh jointly gave a keynote on “30 Years of RE Conference – Trends, Opportunities, Failures and Landmarks”.
The three of us covered the past and future of selected topics. My topics were modeling, automatic programming from formal specifications, and documenting requirements.
Finally, I did a thought experiment, traveling into the year 2043 and looking back to 50 years of requirements-related conferences – thus creating a vision of what RE conferences might look in the future.
