Matthias Felix has been awarded a FS2019 Semester Award for his MSc thesis, entitled «Social Newsroom: Understanding News Reading in a Social Media Context».

The MSc thesis was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Chat Wacharamanotham from the Department of Informatics and Prof. Dr. Anne Scherer from the Department of Business Administration. During his MSc thesis, Matthias Felix created an infrastructure to study how digital news reading behavior is influenced by a digital social network. He is now working at Ubique Innovation AG in Zurich as an iOS software engineer.
