Improving Decentralized Autonomous Organizations: Building the Market of Ideas

Decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) have emerged as decentralized and community-driven entities that manage substantial assets, build global infrastructures, and coordinate thousands of workers, comparable to large and medium-sized companies.

However, DAOs face a significant challenge: burdened by bureaucratic decision-making processes that are slow to resolve, their ability to adapt to the rapidly changing complexities of the world is increasingly compromised. This thesis proposes the development of an "idea market" mechanism—a novel approach that extends crowdfunding by decoupling the ideation from the execution, thus eliminating a key inefficiency of traditional crowdfunding models.

Depending on the thesis's scope, you will conceptualize this mechanism, embed it within the framework of complexity science and web3 literature, implement the solution on-chain, and assess its impact. The focus will be on constructing a functional prototype that aligns with stakeholder values, offering a practical and innovative improvement for DAOs.
