“I Will Do It Tomorrow” - Procrastination Mitigation with AI Agents

Description

Procrastination is a common issue among university students across various disciplines, impacting their academic performance and overall well-being. Academic procrastination can result in poor grades, course withdrawals, and a decline in academic performance. It can also affect students’ emotions, social lives, and even mental health. A typical phenomenon is that students wait until the last minute to submit assignments or study for exams.

We are looking for motivated students to investigate how (generative) AI-powered systems could help university students reduce academic procrastination. Students are required to build and evaluate a system with the integration of AI agents (e.g., chatbots) based on our previous knowledge gained in theDigital Companion project. Expected outcomes include design guidelines and principles derived from the developed system.
