SUIND AG (spin-off)
Originated from the group of Prof. Davide Scaramuzza

At SUIND, we help drone manufacturers to solve their safety and autonomy challenges. Having obstacle avoidance, precise navigation, or safe landing features onboard a drone has become increasingly important. SUIND provides customized solutions to solve such challenges and enable others to fly their drones safer and more autonomously than ever.

2019

PolygonSoftware (startup)

PolygonSoftware in Zurich takes on smaller to very large software projects under the two company branches PolygonDesign and PolygonSoftware and is particularly active in the area of WebApps and Industry 4.0 / Digitization 4.0. PolygonSoftware was founded by students of the University of Zurich. This enables us to support talented software developers at the university at an early stage and integrate them into the team. We are very familiar with the following technologies: Industry 4.0, Enterprise Digitalisation, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Modern UX/UI Design, Databases & Server Infrastructures, and Frontend & Backend Development.

Okomo AG (startup)

At Okomo, we enable online customer engagement at a human level because we deeply believe in the power of real-time human interaction. Okomo is an enterprise SaaS company which helps service-driven organizations to digitally transform their sales and services activities. With an elegant, custom-tailored all-in-one multi-channel live messaging, voice, video, screen-sharing and appointment scheduling solution, Okomo integrates easily into online channels such as websites, email, newsletters and social media, helping online visitors find, collaborate and stay connected to the right person in an organization directly through the company website.

AxLabs (spin-off)

Originated from the group of Prof. Burkhard Stiller

AxLabs is a boutique software and infrastructure engineering company, focusing on decentralized protocols and blockchain technologies. Our projects includes the development of dApps (Decentralized Applications), smart contracts, DeFi (Decentralized Finance), DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations), open protocols, developer tools (e.g., SDKs, compilers), amongst others. The team consists of experienced builders and open-source enthusiasts, with a track record in architecting highly scalable solutions and leading software engineering teams, ultimately outputting reliable products for millions of users. Moreover, AxLabs’ team members share a strong academic background with close ties to educational institutions in Switzerland. Our customers are well-positioned start-ups, blockchain foundations, and large corporations — not only in Switzerland but also in Asia and the Americas.

PeakData (startup)

PeakData is a Global AI company, using swarms of AI to enhance commercial and Medical Effectiveness. Utilizing global and local data sources, PeakData offers HCP insights that help answer key questions in an easy-to-use web-based platform. Core service offerings include profiling and mapping, relationship and influence mapping, agile targeting and segmentation, all of which are done in real-time, to provide recent and actionable insights at scale. Founded in 2018 by leading experts in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, PeakData has quickly grown, with offices in 5 countries and servicing more than 20 large pharma clients globally.

holo|one develops Augmented Reality software for the B2B market. With our revolutionary platform solution we aim to become the de-facto standard for the most common Augmented Reality use cases such as Remote Assistance, Augmented Workspaces and Workflow Support.

opiniooon GmbH (startup, now part of JLS)

opiniooon has developed a digital solution where the patient/customer satisfaction can be measured live on site. An analytics dashboard then provides selected users the real time information and several individual options for the analysis of the results. We provide our services within the fields of healthcare, gastronomy and retail to improve the quality management of our customers.

sublimd GmbH (startup)
Originated from the group of Prof. Harald Gall

sublimd was founded in 2016 following a Master’s thesis at the IfI under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Harald Gall in the Software Evolution and Architecture Lab. The company develops a software platform for digital health to reduce paperwork and enhance treatment quality. Recognized with the UZH Startup Label in 2019.

Zurich Eye (spin-off)
Originated from the group of Prof. Davide Scaramuzza

Zurich Eye will enable machines to navigate autonomously in any space. Zurich Eye technology might be used in a variety of areas, in particular to enable machines to perform difficult tasks in places that are unsafe or inaccessible to humans.

Fotokite (spin-off)

Fotokite is a Zurich CH, Syracuse NY, and Boulder CO based company creating cutting-edge tools that assist public safety teams with elevated situational awareness. Fotokite builds fully autonomous, persistent, and reliable systems that provide invaluable overview information to firefighters and first responders to help them manage complex, safety-critical situations.

TextShuttle GmbH (spin-off)
Originated from the group of Prof. Martin Volk

TextShuttle develops systems that translate text from one language into another. We focus on data privacy through on-premise deployment, meaning our customers – mostly from the banking and insurance sector – can translate sensitive text on their own compute infrastructure.

frentix GmbH (spin-off)
Originated from the group of Prof. Helmut Schauer

frentix is a Zurich City located, small and independent company that offers e-learning and software development services for academic, institutional and small and large corporate clients. Our main products are the open source learning management system OpenOLAT and Selectus, a tool to support faculty recruiting and other committee based selection processes. We are specialized in Java / JavaScript based web and mobile applications.

InnoTix AG

InnoTix develops software for the mobility of today and tomorrow. Our main product PilotPad is the interface to drivers of public transport fleets. It puts all the necessary service-specific technical and operational information at their fingertips, all the time, whether they are online at the depot or offline and servicing their routes. An intuitive, easy-to-use app developed in cooperation with multiple public transport operators, this innovation runs on a hand-held tablet and provides major benefits to all staff. PilotPad is used by Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich, Rhätische Bahn, Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe and more than 30 other public transport companies across Europe.
